One of my goals for this year is to learn how to crochet more garments other than hats and scarves. I’m wanting an easy sweater to crochet for myself so I did a search for a “how to crochet a sweater video”, and came across a few that I’m going to attempt to make for myself. You might find these videos helpful as well so I thought I’d share them!
The above cocoon cardigan by Annoo Crochet Designs is simple, yet stylish. To make this crochet cardigan, you’ll need 1576 yards of worsted weight yarn and a 9mm crochet hook. In the tutorial, she uses 8 skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Rose Heather. If you’re allergic to wool, 2 skeins of Red Heart Comfort in Rosy Pink would be perfect for this oversized cardigan crochet pattern.
Candle’s Crochet designed Lace Up Crochet Crop Top Sweater. I plan on making mine quite a bit longer so it can be worn with leggings – because leggings ain’t pants and I gotta make sure my tail is covered! That’s a whole other topic in itself, so moving on lol.. There’s not a written pattern to go with the sweater video tutorial, but it’s easy to follow along with. Supplies you’ll need are: 3 hooks sizes- 4.25mm, 3.75 mm and 2.75 mm and a skein of Caron one pound yarn. I’m going to buy 2 Caron one pounders since I plan on making mine a bit longer.
I’m in love with this off the shoulder sweater crochet pattern by Annoo Crochet Designs! To make this sweater, you’ll need a 3.5 mm E crochet hook and 2 skeins of soft Galler Yarns Prime Alpaca yarn in Camel. I’m looking forward to making this sweater since it looks so soft!
This boat neck pullover has a very spring like look to it and is crocheted with Paton Glam Stripes yarn. You can download the pattern and buy the yarn at yarnspirations.
